Each property on Great Neck is eligible for one membership in the Association of Great Neck (AGN) per year. Membership is exclusively for Great Neck residents only and is not open to non-Great Neck residents or households.
Membership is paid annually and includes one AGN hang tag for a vehicle to park in the Clark Beach parking lot or Bowdoin Road circle. The annual membership is $35 and membership in the Golden Swan Society is $100. Additional donations are welcomed.
Your membership fee and donation allow for the following programs and activities:
- Necessary ongoing and annual maintenance and upkeep of Clark Beach, the access road, the parking lot, the Bowdoin Road circle and footbridge.
- A security guard at the parking lot gate checking hangtags on weekends, and an AGN Representative checking for hang tags during the week. This helps to ensure that parking is reserved for AGN members.
- The annual AGN Scholarship, awarded to deserving high school seniors from Great Neck who are members of AGN.
- Maintenance and beautification of the "Welcome to Great Neck" triangle and sign at the entrance to Great Neck. AGN also maintains the triangle at the top of Bay View and Stage Hill Roads.
- Maintenance of the Great Neck Playground near Pavilion Beach.
- Administrative costs associated with spring and fall clean-ups, and summertime monthly clean-ups of the Beach and the Triangles.
- Administrative costs associated with various social and community events, including Summerfest, Turkey Tuneup 5K, Art by the Sea coordinated with the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club, bi-annual Yard Sale, Ipswich Dinnerbell, Pepperweed Pull and others.
- Most importantly, your membership fee and donation help preserve the beauty of this natural wildlife sanctuary for current members and future generations.
